Not tap beer, not Miller, nothing I gotta' drink from a jar......guess we'll just have to wait and see....

This is the l980 Teamsters softball team.....front L-R Scott, Burnsy, Chris, Scaboo
back L-R Umpire, Marcus, Pat, Chuck, Hugh, Jeff, Glue

Not Pictured (so you can't see him)--Beaver
These are some pictures from North Scott Hall Regatta spring of '82. Lets take a look here, Cheryl and Kathy in the upper left,Shoobie and Taylor upper right, the Great Gumbino in the middle right, Sue and Cathie lower right---take a good look at the group shots, you may see your self.
I remember it was a very hot day, and the beer was flowin' good---then the wind shifted and the place was nearly empty. You all remember getting sunburn and then having the temp. drop 25 degrees, right? Bottom is Dan making a quick get away.....

Here we have some 7th floor pictures...Let's see now-- Upper picture I think is a progressive party, probably late "81 or early '82. I see Shoobie and Liz, I recognize the blond on the left but her name escapes me. The dark haired girl is somebody's sister, maybe the girl on the left. The blond in the back is Tommy...Russ and Chuck next, then of course Dan next. I think the girls thought if they closed their eyes the camera wouldn't work......
Apparently some of you would like a phone number to get a hold of us while we are in Oshkosh, so.......if this is you drop us an email to northscotthall@aol.com. Now don't try texting because it won't work. Include your phone number and what time you think you'll be hitting town so we can call you if we miss your call--we will moniter as best as we can......
I have been asked to post a new schedule, so here we go......

Friday----Dinner is scheduled at Frattello's 5:30 this is on the river, north of town -- call 920-232-2337 for reservations---we have a nice crowd planning to attend, hope you can join us....
afterwords we are planning to head downtown to the corners----CBC.

After party at Center City Hotel....

some of us will be in Oshkosh early, so if your in town we will probably be at Kelley"s

Saturday---Very busy day......

8:30--10:30-------Continental breakfast at Student Rec Center--on the river, West of North Scott

9-10:30---Trolley tours of campus (if you are so inclined)

also from 9-11 there are tours of Nelson, Breese and Clements Halls for our friends (or those of you who spent any time there)---check 'em out, they are coming down....

11am---Pregame celebration at tent city (Stadium parking lot)--music, food, etc. Shuttle buss from 11 until 1:30

1:30---Football game vs, Stevens Point
5th Quarter celebration after the game at Comfort Suites (on Hwy. 41) after the game...

Of course, some will bypass official activities and meet at Kelley's on the Strip to share memories and a beer.....open at 11 (I think, they haven't gotten back to me yet...)

I would imagine some folks will be heading out after the game and 5th quarter, am sure others will hit the bars, downtown is scheduled, but flexible....

After party City Center.

This is all very flexible, hopes it helps with your planning......

Just a short note here---to those of you out there we haven't contacted, sorry, consider yourself slipped through the cracks. However, we still look forward to seeing you at Homecoming. To those of you who can't make it, good hearing from you, we understand (mostly). To those of you who we weren't able to convince or who didn't care to respond--you're outta' touch, we're outta' time. For those of you joining us for dinner on Friday, make sure to get the reservations in--looking at a nice crowd. For those of you staying over at the City Center (Park Plazza)----CHECK YOUR RESERVATIONS!!!!!! I CAN STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!!!!!! I guess somewhere they had a change of management, so make sure. Phone # is 920-231-5000.

I have some items here that belong to other folks that I plan on returning, so if I have anything that belongs to you let me know and I'll bring it along......See you in a couple of days.....Travel safe!!!

Alright, here we've got Larry--no idea what he is balancing on his head. On the back of the picture of Chuck it sats Halloween'80 late, but I'll bet it was actually early instead. Nice picture of Shoobie here---good one. Finally, this last one says Oct, '80. So, 29 years ago this was the shot out the window of 756 North Scott. Probably hasn't changed real much.....

Got some random pictures here I wanted to get on the blog....Can't really tell who is doing the ironing, maybe Cindy? Picture didn't seem to load up real well. Next we've got Matt taking a snooze, the next one says Halloween "80 on the back---Tom, Chuck, Chris and Paul. Liked the blue tuxes better. Caption on the back of the picture of Russ and Chuck say taken the night Russell announced engagement to Deb. I am sure Russ can tell us exactly what date this was taken, right Russ?????

Hey, found my North Scott t-shirt (the yellow one). It appears to have shrunk......
Another big week of blog viewing I see. Now comes the sad part, as the end of this blog is drawing near. Think what I am going to do is just open it up so that anyone that wants to put something up can(i guess you will need an email address--so make up anew one if you want....). Will be looking for pictures and comments after homecoming as well, so take a look back for a week or two and we will see what we can do.....so, blog away!!!!!

This should finish up the pictures from Vicki. I didn't post the ones where the person being photographed was saying the picture taker was number one--figured no need to embarrass anyone--or their kids!!!! Hope you have had as much fun checking these out as I have--don't recognize all of you, but many....

Here we have a few more 5th floor pictures....

There are quite a few people out there who have made contact with us since this event began taking place who's plans we don't know---hope you are planning to join us. Some of you abruptly stopped your communications---hope your all okay, hope you have your travel plans made! Five days until we begin to hit town........

These are a few more pictures of our 5th floor friends---bunch of party animals----Just checked the extended forecast for Oshkosh for next weekend---at least it will be dry. Better break out the parka if you are planning on attending the football game...the rest of us will probably need the turtlenecks and flannel shirts.......

These are from Mary, some house party somewhere---Dwelling maybe? Shoobie and Chuck, Mary, Boo Boo, Sherri, and Scooter (no idea what their "given" names are, do recognize them though), Mose keeping an eye on things.....What a dork, shirt and tie and a seed cap....

These pictures are labeled 7th floor party, May 2, 1980. We've got Noreen, Deb, Russ, Matt, Chuck, Dan, Tom, Paul, Sue, Lori and Laurie......What is the deal with the 5o's look? One week away from Bloody Mary time (almost I guess). Couple of people have asked --Should I bring some beer for when we are hanging around the pool? I am---cans, harder to break those than bottles. Some of the girls are also planning some snack type things....excellent ideas! Looks like a good crowd for Friday fish fry, but still plenty of room for you....call Fratello's and make your reservations now (tell them you are with the North Scott group). See ya'.

Music Test

With 7 days to go, we have to make sure that everyone is ready to go so here is some prep work for you.  Here is a little test to put you in the right state of mind

Name that tune:
  • Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn
  • We're gonna sit and grin and tell our Grandchildren
  • When I say Boom Boo, you say.....
  • Some of the time beats part of the time and part of the time beats none at all
  • And his hair was perfect
  • Got a wife and kids in Baltimore Jack
  • M is for the mudflaps on my pickup truck
  • If my eyes don't deceive me there's something goin' on around here
  • Sunday Sue and Big Balls Billy
  • This is the story of Johnny Rotten
If you did not get 10 out of 10 that's BOGUS, you need to study up.
Go HERE or click below to get up to speed.

Mary sent some pictures here from a Florida trip, I'm guessing probably spring of '79. I remember spring break in Florida---learned a lot. Bring enough beer and you get to sit in he back of the bus. You can get six or seven people in that little bathroom if you try really hard and the Fenning sisters are on board. Also know that the bus waits for no one, but they will pick you up if they see you walking up the freeway on ramp.........
I know there are a number of folks out there that are still trying to decide whether to go to homecoming or not (for whatever reasons). Let me help you. Make your plans to join us in Oshkosh. I'm pretty sure this is not something that is going to be happening every year or two. Heck, it took nearly thirty years for it to come around this time. I would pretty much guarentee you will have a good time (or at least interesting). So come and share your stories and memories---we're looking forward to seeing you.
